Fair Trade HANDMADE Hand Carved Buddha Pendant // CHOOSE Your Stone .925 Sterling Silver // Transformation, Enlightenment, Personal Growth
Description
My favorite way to work with crystals is to wear them! Did you know that when you wear gemstones as jewelry, you’re inviting them into your auric field, which is about 3-6 inches from your body? It’s one of my favorite ways to work with crystals, and I literally don’t leave the house without a few on me! When I source gemstone jewelry for the shop, I have several criteria: it must be entirely NATURAL and authentic, it must be fairly sourced, and it must be set in a quality material (such as .925 sterling silver, or gold). This is what I personally wear, and I only offer in the shop what I would (and do!) put on my own body!

ABOUT BUDDHA
Born into royalty over 2,600 years ago, the Shakyamuni Buddha as we known him now, came into the world as Siddhartha Gautama, a young price. Compassionate and intelligent, Siddhartha grew up having anything anyone could ever want. In an attempt to keep him from experiencing unpleasantness, his parents shielded him the realities of life, and he rarely left his royal home. On a rare outing at the age of 29, he met someone sick and suffering, then met an old and frail person, and finally saw a dead person. He realized that all of life included suffering in some form, and such began his quest for enlightenment.
Siddhartha decided to secretly leave his royal home in search of true and the release from suffering. Into the forest he traveled, meeting his spiritual leaders who would teach him forms of meditation and work on the mind. For six years, he learned and practiced. But his teachers could not teach him the liberation he sought, so he sat the base of the Bodhi tree, for six days and nights, in deep meditation, fighting the temptations and the obstacles of the human mind. On the final day, the morning of the May full moon, just before his 35th birthday, Siddhartha reached enlightenment and became the Buddha, the Awakened One.
There is, of course, much more to the story, but today we are reminded of Siddhartha’s commitment to his practice, compassion for all living things, and the unavoidable reality of the suffering of an earthly existence. Many Buddhist and spiritual homes contain a figure of the Buddha as a reminder of this spiritual quest.
ABOUT LABRADORITE:
Labradorite is the Stone of Magic. Innuit peoples believed the Aurora Borealis was trapped in the stone, creating the gorgeous flashes within. To others, labradorite (and another form of feldspar, called "spectrolite"), connects us to unseen realms; increasing our psychic or intuitive abilities, enhancing our dreams or dreamwork, and for general self-discovery, delving deeper into our own awareness. This is an incredibly protective stone, shielding you from negativity and harm. It tempers our shame and self-criticism, and instead brings out the best in people. This is a must-have stone for healers and lightworkers, those practicing anything from traditional mental health (therapy) to Reiki and other energy work. This is a throat chakra stone, and one of the stones associated with zodiac sign of Sagittarius.
ABOUT AMETHYST
There's a saying with essential oil enthusiasts: when in doubt, use lavender. Well, it's the same with crystal lovers and rock hounds. When in doubt, use AMETHYST! (And isn't it funny that they both present to us in shades of purple?). I've yet to meet a person who didn't love amethyst. It is a classic stone, and one of the oldest crystals to work with humans. The varying purple hues are absolutely enchanting and the crystals are always glassy and glittery. Even if you're not in it for the metaphysical properties, just having amethyst in your home enhancing the beauty and attracts awe and love.
Amethyst ranges in shades from lavender, rose and lilac to deep, rich grape (called 'grape jelly') . It most commonly forms in clusters or in geodes. The metaphysical properties of amethyst are plenty: it's best known for being a calming stone (great to keep in the bedroom) that encourages sobriety - the Ancient Greeks revered the stone for this reason, and it's name comes from the Greek "ametusthos" meaning "not intoxicated." Today, crystal healers and rock lovers use it as an all purpose stone. It's soothing, relieves stress, and promotes love, peace, tranquility and ease. It is highly spiritual as well, tapping into the Crown Chakra, and helping us find wisdom, hone our inner voice and sharpen our intuition. It is one of the few stones that I will definitely have in the bedroom, for its soothing, calming effect which aids sleep (for some, it can enhance dreams, too). It is an incredibly healing stone, especially on an emotional level. You can't go wrong with having amethyst in your home, wearing it on your person, or carrying in a medicine bag. It's another stone with highly spiritual attributes that is connected with the higher chakras, enhancing intuitive and psychic abilities, and connecting us with the spiritual realms.
**Please note: Amethyst's vibrant purple color can fade when left in direct sunlight for long periods of time. Please bear this in mind as you find a spot to place your amethyst.
ABOUT TIGER EYE
Like Labradorite, Amethyst or most quartz, Tiger's Eye is must-have, essential crystal for any collection or healer. Tiger Eye is a crystal of luck, bringing power, motivation, abundance, and energy. It's a stone of courage and self confidence. It'll help sharpen your mind, focus your intentions and keep your emotions from ruling your actions. All of these factors lead to more productivity, which can lead to abundance and wealth, which is why this is considered a prosperity stone.
Tiger's Eye does so much for our wild emotions, too. Particularly if you're a water sign, or ruled by a lot of big feelings and emotions, Tiger's Eye is a stone that can calm those choppy waters and help you ease the mind to thinking clearly, not from a place of emotions. Tiger's Eye can stabilize our moods, reduce mood swings and eliminate tension. It's particularly helpful for those that are overly anxious, moody, short-tempered or stressed (as we all can be!).

All stones and crystals in our shop have been cleansed with our natural mountain spring water (except for those that may dissolve in water, such as selenite) and have been smudged with organic white sage, harvested sustainably and produced fairly.
Please note that crystals, minerals and fossils are a natural product and are rarely perfect. I do my best to capture each side of each piece in the photos. They are creations of Mother Nature that have weathered thousands of years in the earth and I cannot guarantee them completely. They are natural objects. All photographs are taken outside, in natural sunlight, and the photos are NEVER altered.
