Black Tourmaline is one of my most FAVORITE stones out there. The inky black surface of quality piece is unrivaled in my mind. This is the ultimate grounding stone. Also called "schorl" (for the German town where it is often found), Black Tourmaline is a powerhouse of energy, being an incredibly protective stone. Black Tourmaline is absolutely wonderful to use in crystal grids, gridding your home or property, used as the center of a crystal grid in your home, or carrying with you to help diffuse negative energy or toxic people.
Black Tourmaline is one of the strongest protectors and grounders of the mineral world. This is a hard core grounding stone - think of it as a metaphysical anchor. It's incredibly protective, against a variety of threats, physical and spiritual and mental. If Smokey Quartz is a German Shepherd, than Black Tourmaline is a Rottweiler! For some, their presence can be overpowering. However, strong personalities tend to be attracted to, and are able to work with, Black Tourmaline. Empaths especially love to use this stone while in public or in crowds because it quiets the emotional "chatter" of other people, giving them some much needed peace. If it's too strong for you at first, start with some smoky quartz and build up to working with Black Tourmaline. Strong stones need strong personalities - at least at first!

These pieces are POLISHED! Why is that special?
Polished Black Tourmaline is very hard to find, namely that it requires SO much tourmaline to polish it down to a solid pebble. As you probably know, tourmaline is striated, and is rarely very smooth. These incredible palm stones must start as a very large piece of Tourmaline to get to this size!
For empaths or sensitive people, Tourmaline is a wonderful tool - the act of polishing the tourmaline gentles its energy, making it softer, subtler and more accessible, metaphysically.

This listing is for ONE (1) piece of Polished LARGE Black Tourmaline.
Each piece measures approximately 2 to 2.5 inches wide and long. These measurements are ESTIMATES only, and each piece varies slightly. They are in round, oblong, and organic shapes - shapes vary! Each one is like a smoothly polished, matte, black mirror. They are stunning specimens and feel so deeply grounding when held in the hand.
This is the highest quality Black Tourmaline you can purchase. These are stunning specimens! This stone will anchor you in your feet, grounding you to mother earth and help you reconnect with source. They are divinely powerful. Enjoy!
