There is an archeological digging site in the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site, near Johannesburg in South Africa where some of the oldest humanoid fossils have been found. This is a closed location, with no commercial mining occurring, and yet this incredible form of gray agate, since named The Cradle of Humankind, was discovered forming in the same layer of earth as these amazing ancient discoveries. This stone carries within it physical and metaphysically the magic and power of our oldest human ancestors.
ABOUT CRADLE OF HUMANKIND
This stone may well be one of my favorite offerings in the Crystal Lion shop. At first glance, it doesn't appear like much: a mostly dark gray stone, with some waves of charcoal or white. They're smooth, opaque and solid. Not too heavy, not too light. And yet, when you hold one, you get an immediate sense of deep grounding. Grounding so deep, it stirs up old memories, deep messages from within - and a sense of comfort, stillness, and of being "home."
This is the crystal for ancestral healing work and rituals. It helps you go back to the beginning: recenter yourself, ground yourself, and begin anew by addressing old wounds and (family) patterns. Cradle of Humankind crystal is about the basics: starting at the foundation, repairing what is making the (metaphysical) house wobbly, and working your way up spiritually and emotionally.
Cradle of Humankind is a stone about repairs as much as it is laying a new foundation. It's wonderful for those embarking on a new journey or new beginnings. It's an important talisman for those actively and diligently working on stagnant family relationships, and unhealthy generational patterns that are ready to be revealed and healed. Once that old root/foundation work is done, we can more easily and seamlessly focus on our life's purpose.
Crystal Healers often say that a stone presents itself when we're ready to work with it. Whether that be to each of us individually, such as when a crystal is found or gifted, or collectively, such as when a new stone is discovered, it is believed that all crystals come when the time is right. As this is a very newly discovered stone, many believe that it is here for us right when we need it; healing old wounds, moving forward from the past, working with our ancestors and healing our old patterns down to our bones.

You will receive ONE (1) tumbled Cradle of Humankind Crystal. The color of these pieces varies from dark Charcoal gray to light smoky gray, sometimes in between and both! :)
Measurements are as follows:
The LARGE measure *approximately* 1 inch long.
The XL measure *approximately* 1-1.25 inches long.
The JUMBO measure *approximately* 1.25- 1.5 inches long and are thicker/heavier in weight. These JUMBO pieces are very rare!
Please know these are estimates and I cannot guarantee the exact measurements of each piece. They have been tumbled into organic shapes, with some thicker and shorter, others wider and flatter. They are each the same weight and they are are each absolutely GORGEOUS and unique! Please remember that no two natural stones are ever alike!
Due to the nature of this stone, it is a very rare and unpredictable crystal tumble. I don't know if I will be able to restock once these are out, and if so, for how long it will be available from the digging site.

Remember, the group listings are created with economy and the surprise factor in mind! By not listing each piece individually, it saves me time, so it saves you money - and you get the joy of a surprise in your parcel!

All stones and crystals in our shop have been cleansed with our natural mountain spring water (except for those that may dissolve in water, such as selenite) and have been smudged with organic white sage, harvested sustainably and produced fairly.
Please note that crystals, minerals and fossils are a natural product and are rarely perfect. I do my best to capture each side of each piece in the photos. They are creations of Mother Nature that have weathered the elements and more for untold number of years, and I cannot guarantee perfection or perfect points. These are natural objects. All photographs are taken outside, in natural sunlight, and the photos are NEVER altered.
